Using a Photo Booth to Market Your Business

A photo booth is a great way to get attract guests to your business at a trade show or convention. It will provide them some fun entertainment and give them a take away piece that contains your logo and business information. Our photo booths also have the ability to upload photos to social media. This feature will extend your marketing reach to much larger audience than the guests at the show.

The Donn Rentmeister Insurance Agency used our photo booth during the Salt Lake City Autorama. The photo booth fit well with the outgoing personalities of Donna and her agents. Over the three days of the Autorama we took several hundred pictures and uploaded pictures to an online gallery. The guests received a password for the gallery via email and have the ability to share the photos on social media. We designed a single 4x6 postcard print that contained two large photo's and Donna's business information.

Do you have a trade show, convention, open house or employee appreciation day happening in the near future? We would love to help you market by using one of our photo booths. Visit us at www.catchphotobooths.com

Wedding Photo Booth Tip - Designate a Friend to Take Keep the Flash Drive

All of our photo booth rentals come with a flash drive that contains all of the images and videos taken in your photo booth. About once a month we get a panicked call from a bride or brides mother stating that the thumb drive has been misplaced. We have learned that it best to give a bridesmaid or groomsman the responsibility to get the photo booth thumb drive after the wedding and get it to the happy couple when they return from their honeymoon. We like to use thumb drives that can be attached to keys to help in this process. We back up the files on a hard drive; just in case you need us to send them to you again.

10 Tips for an Amazing Photo Booth Scrapbook

The photo booth scrapbook is the most popular way to post photo booth photo strips at weddings. We have compiled 10 helpful tips from our experience in the photo booth rental business.

1. Use a 12 x12 scrapbook. A 12 x 12 scrapbook will allow you to get 3 or 4 photo strips per page. Most photo booths print 2 x 6 photo strips.

2. Use two sided card stock pages. This will allow you to use both sides of the page and the pen ink won't bleed through to the back side of the card stock.

3. Plain colored pages are easier to read than pages with fancy designs.

4. Two sided tape works the best to stick photo strips to the pages. Glue dots can be tricky to use and glue sticks are messy.

5. Use pens that have a fine tip. Thick tipped markers may not be very legible.

6. Have your friends or family use the photo booth first and have them create a neat example scrapbook page that others can use for reference.

7. Take the pages out of the scrapbook so they are easily accessible. Once the pages are complete they can be placed back into the book.

8. Use a big enough table that 2-3 people can work on the scrapbook at the same time. Some people will want to leave you a long message.

9. Have a small table next to the scrapbook table where guests can place their drinks. A punch or wine spill could ruin your scrapbook in a matter of seconds.

10. Be creative. This is your special unique sign in book!

Our :Shout Out" video feature is an awesome addition to your photo booth scrapbook. You will have your guests congratulations in writing and on video.

Vintage Elegance at McCune Mansion

We recently participated in Kenton and Natalie's wedding at the beautiful McCune Mansion in Salt Lake City. The theme was vintage elegance, We were able to program the photo booth to only take black and white prints. We used a vintage damask patterned back drop . The props were mustaches, top hats, mascarade masks, monocles and pipes.

One of the bests parts of the photo booth service, was the "shout out" video feature.

Get engaged in our photo booth - share with the world instantly

Our photo booths now have the ability to instantly upload videos taken in the photo booth as well as the pictures directly to Facebook. So we thought of this awesome engagement idea.

We set up a photo strip to say the potential brides name and "will you marry me".

The groom to be gives us his or her Facebook log in to program into the booth.

The couple get in the stand up photo booth she has no idea whats going on, other than the fact that her awesome boyfriend has taken her to this photo booth. They pose for the pictures. The pictures print in an amazingly fast 8 seconds and he gets them while she waits in the booth. He comes back into the booth, hits start recording for the video feature then drops on one knee and presents her with the photo strip and a ring.

The best part is that the photo strip and video upload instantly to Facebook. All of your friends can share in your special moment right after it happens. Lets just hope she says yes.

Do you know someone looking for an exciting way to get engaged? Have them give us a call, we want to try this out.

The Custom Photo Strip

One of the great advantages of our photo booth service is the fact that we offer a customized border that matches your event at no additional charge. We often get asked what the options and limitations are with our photo strip backgrounds. The photo strip can be configured many ways to accommodate different backgrounds.

Here are some of most popular photo strip configurations:

 4 Regular Sized Pictures
This is probably our most popular configuration. It works well if you are just putting names and dates on the bottom of the photo strip. This example has a small damask border on the sides. Damask is a very popular wedding pattern that works well with photo strips.

3 Regular Sized Pictures
This option works well if you have logo or want to have larger text. In this example, we matched elements from the brides website.
Alternating Regular and Small Sized Pictures
This option is fun because it enables you space for text or logos at the top and bottom of the photo strip. Your guests still get to take 4 pictures in the photo booth.

We will never put our logo or information on the front of the photo strip. It's your event. You get the photo strip designed exactly to your specifications. Do you have a creative idea for your event? Let us give it a try.. We always will send you a proof two weeks before your event.
